Privacy, in plain language.

This page says what the alesk.ca website collects about you, why, and what we do with it. The honest summary: very little, never to sell, and nothing that follows you elsewhere on the web.

What we collect, and why

  • The contact form. Your name, your email and what you write to us (sometimes your company, your sector, your current tools if you fill those in). This information lands in our inbox and serves one purpose: answering you. It feeds no mailing list.
  • The site's agent. The questions you ask it, typed or dictated. Conversations are passed on to our team, as stated on the agent's page, so that we can answer in person when it is warranted and improve the service. If you dictate, the audio is used only for transcription and we do not keep it.
  • Visit measurement. The site uses Google Analytics to count visits: pages viewed, device type, approximate origin. It tells us which pages are useful, not who you are. This measurement works with cookies placed in your browser, which you can block in its settings without harming the site.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell, rent or share your information with anyone for commercial purposes.
  • No advertising, no cross-site tracking, no profiling.
  • We do not write to you without reason: if you contact us, we answer you, and that is all.

Where the data goes

Like every modern site, alesk.ca relies on a few providers, each for a precise role: Vercel (hosting the site), PlanetHoster (our email), Google Analytics (visit measurement), Anthropic (generating the agent's answers) and OpenAI (transcribing voice dictation). Each one receives only what its role requires.

How long we keep it

Messages from the form and conversations with the agent are kept in our inbox for as long as it takes to handle them and follow up, then deleted once they no longer serve a purpose. Measurement data follows Google Analytics retention periods.

Your rights

Quebec law (Law 25) gives you the right to know what we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to withdraw your consent. A request through the contact form is enough: we answer quickly. The person responsible for the protection of personal information is the owner of alesk, reachable through the same form.

Changing your mind about measurement

You answered the measurement banner (one way or the other) and you want to change your choice? : the banner will come back, and your new answer will replace the old one.

If this page changes, the update date at the top will follow. No surprise clause in small print: what you just read is all of it.
